The Matthews Woman's Club Service League has been hosting Victorian Teas during the first weekend of December for over 25 years. We offer delectable sweets and savories served on beautiful china and Earl Grey tea from silver teapots. You will arrive to the delightful melodic sound of our young Victorian carolers. The soft lovely sounds of our featured harpists will create a special ambiance while you dine. Caldwell Russell will entertain you with stories about growing up near the Reid family and give insight into the history of the Reid House. To add a touch of whimsy to the evening, you will be charmed while listening to the lighter side of Victorian customs from Victorian Re-enactor Patty Proctor. All of this takes place in the unique Historic Matthews Reid House all decked out in holiday splendor especially for the Victorian Teas!
You will leave wanting our recipes which are available in our latest cookbook.
We will again offer a Boutique filled with unique items that are perfect for gift giving or to keep for yourself!
Your support of our Victorian Tea fundraiser helps us carry on a tradition and enables us to help others in the community!
